Look no further than this list of events for this summer that we have put together for pot-enthusiasts and casual consumers alike. San Diego offers a handful of dispensaries for you to purchase marijuana, but there are also many pop-up events and outings that different establishments will hold throughout the summer.
One pot-themed event this summer to keep an eye on is The Gateway Show. This special event is a comedy show, hosted by Billy Anderson, where the comedians on hand will go up on stage and tell jokes, and then disappear somewhere to go get high, before coming back on stage to tell more jokes. Those in attendance, while not permitted to smoke or consume marijuana on site, will be given an intermission to ‘do as they please’ before returning for more comedy. Held at the Adams Avenue Theater on Friday, May 26th, this event is not to be missed! Doors open at 7 pm, and general admission tickets start at $20.
Are you more of a go-with-the-flow kind of person? For those who prefer to take it slow while they indulge, there are pop-up events like this Sunday Night Kush Yoga special, put on by Better Half Supply Co., which incorporates practicing yoga with getting high. While the event is BYO as far as cannabis products go, those in attendance are encouraged to fuse this fun yoga session with their pot consumption. Music, art and specialty goods will be on hand for purchase.
Note: All are welcome to attend, and getting high is not required for the event! The event starts at 6:30pm on Sunday, June 4th, and will be held at Better Half Supply Co.
Lastly, The Ecological Escapades Edition 5 event will be happening on Sunday, May 28. This event is an opportunity for folks to plant their own bulbs for the spring. Held in Warner Springs, about an hour and a half north-east of San Diego, this event is tailored to those who have a green thumb. It will be held on cannabis farmlands, and will emphasize farming practices. General admission is free, and VIP tickets are also available for purchase. Various vendors will be on hand, as well, featuring artisanal goods and other items for purchase. An open-mic will also be held in the morning!
