We selected the best and most affordable coffee shops in San Diego
San Diego is an amazing city with lots to offer, especially when it comes to coffee shops and cafes! It isn’t hard to find a good cup of coffee here, but it can be challenging trying to find a place to get the most bang for your buck. Let us help you narrow down your search by introducing you to some of the loveliest coffee shops that San Diego has to offer!
Pump Coffee
Located in the heart of Pacific Beach, Pump Coffee is a new shop that not only has the best coffee I’ve had in San Diego, but also the best pastries. Their croissants are the perfect combination of buttery and flakey, comparable to those in France. They offer a wide selection of coffees and espressos. They even have some very unique drinks, such as their Chagaccino which is made with chaga mushrooms that offer huge health benefits. Every staff member has an incredibly warm and welcoming personality that will make your day!
Better Buzz Coffee Hillcrest
This coffee shop is located in Hillcrest – the most diverse and inclusive neighborhood in San Diego. While you sip your coffee, order one of the amazing meals they have to offer. Try the avocado toast – the most famous meal at Better Buzz – or the refreshing açaí bowl. To drink, I recommend the rose latte that comes with real rose petals!
Caffè Calabria
Caffè Calabria is located in North Park. The main attraction of this coffee shop is the giant roaster, so rest assured that you will drink super fresh coffee in this place. Sit outside and enjoy the relaxing ambience on the patio while grabbing a delicious bite to eat. The pizza is amazing and reminds me of pizzas I have eaten in Europe. If you go during happy hour, you can also save some money!
James Coffee Co.
Sustainability matters at James Coffee, where they serve coffee in reusable glasses. Three shops can be found around the city in Little Italy, Bakers Hill and North Park. Known for making a great work spot, James Coffee has great wifi. You can easily stay there for many hours working while you try some delicious food and drinks.
The Living Room Coffeehouse
If you are looking for a wonderful ambiance to work or study, go to The Living Room Coffee House. It is located near San Diego State University, so many students go there to study and enjoy the atmosphere. The wifi there is free and their açaí bowl is amazing!
