1. Little Italy Farmer’s Market

Every Saturday from 8 am until 2 pm, the streets between Kettner and Front St. are shut down to be taken over by produce stands, local cuisine, and craft culture. Stroll through for a serene morning, picking tasty treats as you go.

2. Rent a boat at Mission Bay Sportcenter

After spending some time Downtown, it’s time to set out to the bay and get on the water. You can rent any water vessel you enjoy most. A paddleboard, a jet ski to rip through the waves or set out with some friends on a catamaran. No matter what you choose, you will get to enjoy some Southern California sun, and get your heart pounding.

3. Eat the best tacos in San Diego at Bluewater Seafood

After enjoying water sports, by now you have worked up an appetite. Continue your water enjoyment with the best fish tacos in San Diego. Bluewater Seafood has two locations to choose from so you can enjoy their award-winning fish tacos Downtown or on Ocean Beach. Either choice will give you a taste of one of San Diego’s most famous foods. The fish doesn’t get any fresher or more locally sourced than from Bluewater Seafood.

4. Sunset Cliffs for a Surf and Sunset

When you are this close to the beach, a must-see is a sunset on Ocean Beach. After lunch, head to the end of Sunset Cliffs Boulevard where there is a private beach adventure awaiting you. Depending on the tide you can either use the stairs or hold onto the rope as you repel down the canyon to the beach. If you enjoy surfing this place has great waves! Enjoy the peace of this spot, you will forget that you are so close to a city.

5. Have a Mai Tai at Bali Hai

With over 2 million Mai Tai’s sold, I think it is safe to say they know what they are doing.  It has been claimed as the “World’s Strongest Mai Tai.” Furthermore, it is tasty, so you won’t even realize how well it does the trick. The entire menu is delicious but to try a little of everything, go with some friends and order a bunch of appetizers to help soak up those Mai Tai’s
