Looking to travel to San Diego during the month of November? There is a San Diego event for everyone! We want you to have the best experience possible while here so we created a “Guide to San Diego” for the month of November. This is what’s going on:
San Diego is becoming a major force in the craft beer realm (we have over 120 breweries!). Although it says beer “week” this celebration actually last 10 days. The Guild Fest is Nov 4-5 and will host over 60 SD breweries for attendees to try out unlimited samples such as Stone Brewing, Coronado Brewing Co., and Green Flash. There will also be music and food at the Guild Fest as well.
To close out SDBW will be the Beer Garden on Nov 13 from 12-3pm at the Lodge at Torrey Pines. This event will host 28 of the top breweries in SD along with 14 chefs who will provide UNLIMITED perfect pairing samples. Check out some of the many smaller events going on during SDBW that mix beer with yoga, donuts and more here!
Calling all oenophiles and spirit enthusiasts, the San Diego Bay Wine & Food Festival is coming from Nov 14-20! This San Diego event will be an international showcase of exquisite wines, spirit, and gourmet foods. There will be keynote sessions and educational classes from industry thought leaders, entrepreneurs and artisans. There is a mix of smaller and larger events during this festival. Some major ones include the Lexus Grand Tasting, The Tasting at SommCon, and the Blind Taste with the Masters.
Catch some smooth and funky fresh vibes at the San Diego Jazz Fest! Running Nov 24-27th, San Diego Jazz Fest will play host to a variety of Jazz forms from ragtime to swing to dixieland. This San Diego event will take place in the Town & Country Convention Center. On Nov 26 there will be the “Swing Dance Extravaganza” where couples can compete for a 1st place prize of $500 while also just having fun.
Taking place on Sunday, Nov 20 in El Cajon, the Mother Goose Parade is San Diego’s East County holiday kick-off and is the largest parade of its type west of the Mississippi! It will include motorized floats, bands and drill units, dignitaries, special units, and Queen’s Contest. Free to the public.
This farmers market happens every Saturday, rain or shine, from 8am to 2pm in Downtown SD’s Little Italy (located a few blocks from ITH’s Adventure hostel). “Find food purveyors with sauces and relish, oysters, coffee beans, spices and more, and plants including orchids, fresh flowers, and bedding plants. Dine on crepes, paninis, green smoothies, lemonade and local chefs’ specialties best enjoyed with our live music.” This San Diego event is going on every Saturday!
We are always doing exciting activities at ITH as well! From hikes to pub crawls to weekly trips to Tijuana, you will definitely have fun with the ITH family. If you are planning on traveling during the Thanksgiving holiday, consider joining us here at ITH in San Diego! We host a huge family-style feast for all of our guests on Thanksgiving!
