Yes! This is one of the great attributes of the International Travelers House. We love to welcome independent travelers who are curious about other cultures and are looking to meet interesting people. Our variety of social activities and communal feel is perfect for the social traveler looking to have a great time.
Each ITH location varies slightly with what is offered at breakfast. Our San Diego locations provide a lite breakfast from 6:00am to 10:00am. In Big Bear, we offer self serve pancakes for breakfast and complimentary appetizers each evening.
Our daytime activities are an amazing way to see the city fast and efficiently as a local. They are offered to our guests on a first come first serve basis. Sign up for the activities as soon as you book your stay with us! Otherwise you may still be able to sign up for a activities when you check in!
Guests staying with us can stay for up to 14 days. Student staying with us at our Student Residences are allow to stay long term on a month to month basis.
You are able to bring you own pad lock for our lockers or you can purchase one at reception for $6.
We look at our properties as a comfortable place of rest. We do like to socialize and make new friends with other travelers, but we do have a quiet time inside the building that begins at 11 pm.
Each guest will the option for using our privacy lockers for storing valuables.

ITH Student Residences is a great option for students looking for a monthly or semester long living situation. Since we provide free food, include all utilities with rent, have study rooms with iPads and provide a social atmosphere, there isn't a better option in San Diego for the ultimate student experience!

San Diego has some of the best climate in the world! It is sunny approximately 330 days a year. Temperatures range from around 15 degrees Celsius (60 degrees Fahrenheit) in the winter too 24 degrees Celsius (75 degrees Fahrenheit) in the summer.
Big Bear offers an amazing climate consisting of four seasons! Temperatures range from around -5 degrees Celsius (15 degrees Fahrenheit) in the winter to 24 degrees Celsius (75 degrees Fahrenheit) in the summer.
All guests must bring a current form of ID. Guests that wish to stay with us must reside outside of San Diego County and be traveling through San Diego.
All guests staying with us must be at least 18 years old. We do allow children to stay at our Big Bear Mountain Lodge property if they are with their parents.
If you would like to participate on our Tijuana Tour, you must have the proper Visa and have a current passport. We will be happy to help you determine if your Visa is valid for going to Tijuana.
Yes. There are designated storage areas for our guests luggage inside the building that are locked at all times and can be access by staff members approval.
Surrounding our locations are a variety of parking as well as free parking in the neighborhoods surrounding our buildings. In Big Bear, private parking spaces available for our guests convenience.
